E100 and the The Magic Mortar

Well, it's been yet another incredibly exciting few weeks. The version update brought lots of good and bad things, but overall, I have to thank SE for still updating the shitastic failure of a game that is as addictive as a drug.

On with the entry!

One of the biggest achievements this month, completing my first Salvage piece! Long Bow finally put out last night, and I got my Usukane Hizayoroi this morning.

Hurray! Big thanks to ED Morning Salvage, and everyone that kept my spirits up. I'm pretty sure we'll be seeing many more Long Bow in the near future. According to Zid, I'm now allowed to lot a legs cell when we do Arrapago. Oh dear. :P

Another epic Salvage battle was this. We took a 7-man party to the Arrapago boss for funsies. We totally underestimated him near the end, and just as everyone wiped, E100 saved the day. Gogo clown! Here's some little stats from the battle, I didn't record what maneuvers were up, was too busy saving the day!

Speaking of damage, the version update included 3 new Level 70~72 Automaton Weaponskills. I started a testing thread here on BG, which was a great idea, since it's ever growing popularity has caused much testing to be done and incredible things have been discovered. In short;

Valoredge Frame: Bone Crusher

The new WS "Bone Crusher" is a three-fold attack using both the sword and shield of Valor's frame to perform.

- Blunt based (was tested in Limbus in the Apolyyon damage resistance area)
- Deals extra damage to undead
- 3-fold attack
- Replaces Cannibal Blade

Sharpshot Frame: Armor Piercer

Sharpshot's new "Armor Piercer" is a one-hit, defense-ignoring ability that is nothing to lol about this time round.

- Closes/open Darkness Skillchains (tested with Tachi:Gekko)
- Can deal up to 1,500 DMG + 1,500 mirrored Skillchain damage.
- Will only replace Daze on monsters weak to piercing.

Stormwaker/Soulsoother/Harlequin Frame: Magic Mortar

The Harlequin/Stormwaker frame has been decked out with the very situational, confusing, patient, but most of all, incredibly powerful WS of them all.

- Based on the formula: Magic Mortar damage @ 100%TP = (MaxHP-CurrentHP)/2 (thanks to miokomioko), with damage increasing in TP, and fire maneuvers using Flame Holder, this is the most powerful WS of the three.
- Based mainly on Puppet's current HP, Role Reversal is a must.
- Will open and close Light SC. Inhibitor will keep it's TP over 100%.
- If the Master drops to 99% TP or below, it will instantly use Magic Mortar. (tested with /DCN and Healing Waltz.

Have some screenies if you don't believe me. I know I didn't believe it myself at first, but some of the images and results on BG are incredible:

It also looks like Rebme managed to poke her head into one of those Mortar screenies. I GUESS I'll have to talk about her now! :P

I've been playing with this ginger butt Rebme for a while now. Starting with silly /tells to duoing and getting our asses handed to us by Trolls, Sea Puks, and ...Flans, we've been spending a lot of time together either as DRK and DRG, or DRK and WHM. It was a natural progression, and I'm happy with how strong we've grown, as friends and players. Expect lots of crazy things involving her to follow!

Einherjar!

Fuck Einherjar.

Dynamis! After 1+ years I finally got all my silvers. Valkurm was my last to get, where we also saw a very happy Elvaan walk away with a Duelist Hat+1. :D Grats Cele!

The version update also introduced a plethora (lol) of items. Unfortunately, the only two good pieces for PUP were shoved into Windurst Campaign! I had to sign up there to buy them, then get stripped of my rank when I walked back into Sandy, tail between my legs. Hello again, Iron Emblem... :( It's not sad at all if I bought the hat just because the colour matched PUP AF body's belt, no? Good. The hands are great, even if now I have to macro in AF every time I want to maneuver. Oh well! (I also owe Genevie an apology, the macros turned out great in the end despite all my whining :P)

There's a neat Scythe/ring set which would be perfect for DRK, but each one drops from two NM Quads in Beaudeax [S]. So fuck that shit. Maybe if enough people want to give it a go, but I don't wanna get my ass handed to me in there of all places, especially after bumping into all those friendly Imps last time... Ugh!

Moar stuff! Aeyze got her MC Hammerpants at long last. Congrats!! ONE COULD SAY SHE'S QUITE THE RED MAGE, OH HO HO HO. Now it's time for some Omega luvvin' for Rebme's pantaloons!

And it wouldn't be an update without some funny screenies. This time I'll explain exactly what's going on...Just so nobody gets the wrong idea...? :P

It's called Karma. This guy in an assault pick-up group got it served!

Speaking of rolls, I asked Rebme if I should get my hair cut. It boiled down to 0-500: No. 501+: Yes! Well, the answer was pretty clear imo.

lol, Tourettes guy. A favourite YouTube video between me and Ains. The fun never stops with Ains now that I think about it:

Everyone is so nice on Fairy tbh:

Adventuring with Rebme again! We got in a lot of tight situations. Excuse the pun!

Reb actually has dyslexia, and we joke about it a ton. She said her cure was to shout out the name of a guy doing Campaign and it'll go away. Did it work?

Nah.

And who could forget my beautiful display of love to AV? I wish I could. I died soon after. :(

And that's all for today. Stay safe, over and out!

Fafnir is a Dick

A nice relaxing break, if I say so myself. Most of the morning Salvage groups went away to Minamicon from Thursday-Tuesday, which left me time to mess about with all these days off.

Kicking off with Morning Fafnir, which lasted...2 days, before climbing his way back to 6am.

I managed to get a second claim in too! I prefer /WAR to /SAM for Faffy, probably because half the LS afks a lot and Provoke is much less infuriating than Stun, especially since I can run around while spamming it.

New Drain 2 record, shite drops. Though we did get a Fafnir during NA time that got Pankake a Ridill. Grats!

On the topic of Wyrms, we did a mass KS99 (Well over 20 Orbs), and my turn is next Saturday. In any case, this was my first time doing the Wyrm one, and now I know not to do as much damage D; He kept hitting me in the air! D:

Salvage! I'm now 2/3 Usukane Pantaloons~ I can't wait. The final piece drops from Long-Bowed Chariot, an NM which we do frequently for Ares/Morrigan bodies, Skadi feets, and now these. Woo hoo! Long Armed was great fun though, Brainjack, the AoE Charm attack, is hilarious when it hits everyone.

And let's not forget even more Salvage epeen (This was before even getting an INT cell or half my gear back!)

Assault! I managed to do a ton of uniques with ED and some pick up parties that I mostly made. Now I have 11 Uniques left until Captain. Can't wait! :D

Beseiged! Me and Rebme warded off a big bad level 8 Trolls yesterday, before I died to Gere and didn't get any exp. We've also been ISNMing to finish her ores for Skadi's body. Her COR and THF are gonna be so hawt once it's done! Also, Dread Spikes makes the Puk ISNM a total joke. I can pull hate without worrying at all now as long as they're up when he does Boreas Mantle. That and Reb is the best BRD at sleeping them so damn fast!

Still not cleared Wing 3 in Einherjar! We've been getting fantastic test results though, like how WSs make KB incredibly angry, and how Diremites are cocksuckers to manaburn. In any case, we did some Tier 2's for points and look, abjurations do exist! They went freelot to a BRD though since these drops pretty much every Fafnurz, lulz.

Merits! hi2u Level 4 Dark Magic + another 3 in the bag~ I don't know whether to go past 4 until they release the new DRK spells. So I'm gonna wait and work on MP. Part of me wants to do RNG JSM but if I start them I'll spend every day meriting until they're complete...

Campaign, Yay? There's no new missions and no new items, also no new rank so in 30 days it's gonna wear off God damnit SE. At least that's me caught up on rank though? lol

Welp! Once again, as friendships strengthen, so do the jokes. Let's finish off with some personal favourites this week!
